This 2 CD collection covers material from 1969 to 1974 recorded for the Epic Label. During this period, four different line ups of the band recorded this material. Founder member RUSTY YOUNG was joined by JIM MESSINA, RICHIE FURAY, RANDY MEISNER, and TIMOTHY SCHMIT, who went on to join THE EAGLES. This release comes with a 36 page booklet, lots of pictures, and detailed notes of the bands history during this period. The Forgotten Trail is one that we rediscovered, just as you are about to, as the listener. This trail of recorded performances was discovered by historical Poco scouts and devoted musical trackers searching through the musical treasures of the vast Epic Records vaults. We thank these professionals, who are devoted to the music of Poco, for reminding us that the original heart from which this music came has passed the test of time. A new generation now stands side by side the old, and enjoys the songs and performances that still continue to inspire us today.
